Full Day courses at Chapel House Farm, Crawsall

Join me for a day of foraging & feasting at Chapel House Farm near Hay on Wye.

Chapel House is a exceptional location, a regenerative farm in the truest sense of the word;  set on the side of the famous Cats Back hill, its owners, Anita and Simon reflect the best in farming; they cultivate crops and rear livestock without the use of chemicals; and as a result their farm is full of a vast array of wild food.

growing heritage 'population' grains that they turn into flour in their own tiny mill (you can buy their flour and pasta at the farm) they also raise animals, including a small herd of white park cattle that graze the side of the famous Cats Back (Black Hill) that sweeps down to the farm.

After a morning foraging with me, we return to the farm house for an always delcious lunch prepared by Anita with a combination of her produce and wild ingredients - in the afternoon we either head back out or spend a the rest of the day making drinks, tinctures, or condiments to take home. You wont want to leave & as luck has it you dont have to, as Chapel House offers camping for those wanting to extend their stays.

A couple of minutes walk from the farm is the famous Bulls Head Pub in Craswall, which for those who want a more luxiourious stay offer bespoke pods in the grounds of the pub (which also offers generous hospitality and delicious food from thier own farm, often making use of the wild ingredients that grow in the valley)
